In the Loire Valley, I was looking for a peacefull location with a strong presence of nature and I found the Clos de la Chartrie, close the the château of Cheverny, ideal for me to do B&B. The property is surrounded by vineyards, sunflower or wheat fields, meadows and horses. It is close to many of the Loire Chateaux, its fascinating gardens and right on the cycling itinaries N° 4. A typical and charming old farm from the Sologne region, it has been restaured with with ecological materials wherever possible: solar panels for hot water, hemp for insulation, lime coating and more. I propose the table d’hôtes and the food is organic because I think it’s best. It is a wonderfully peaceful and fulfilling setting.
