I was looking for a peacefull location with a strong presence of nature and I found the Clos de la Chartrie about half a mile outside the village of Cormeray, ideal for me to do B&B. The property is surrounded by vineyards, sunflower or wheat fields, meadows and horses. It is close to many of the Loire Chateaus, and right on the cycling itinaries N° 4. A typical and charming old farm from the Sologne region, it has been restaured with with ecological materials wherever possible: solar panels for hot water, hemp for insulation, lime coating and more. I propose the table d’hôtes and the food is organic because I think it’s best. It is a wonderfully peaceful and fulfilling setting. Thanks to Fleurs de soleil, you can have vouchers for reduced price tickets for more than 40 touristic sites (chateaus and gardens). A restfull place.
